50mm has a much better locking design
Compared to the narrower versions (approx. 30mm), the latches on the access panels are significantly stronger. I can't see how I'm supposed to open the smaller one more than two or more times before the latches start breaking, but I've opened this one at least a dozen times and it still clicks clearly.
