Review on πŸ› οΈ LAFVIN Mega2560 Project Starter Kit for Mega328 Nano - Arduino IDE Compatible with Tutorial by Terrance Palau

Great price - lots of parts

I wanted to entertain the kid in me and help my kid get started with microcontroller projects. This kit comes with a variety of sensors and connectors. That was about 30% less than its closest competitor. Slight differences from the competitor kit are in the quality of the potentiometers, the number of pins on the mega board on the pins side itself (in addition to the board itself) and a few other small things. good - you can always download from other better sources. There are tons out there and the formal instructions are only there to get you started and can only get you so far. Don't whine about it too much. There was no brand/origin marking on the mega board at all. It didn't matter as long as everything it did worked. All parts were much smaller than I imagined :-). Try Snap4arduino (download from snap4arduino.rocks) if you want to program your Arduino Mega using drag and drop. and throw blocks like in a scratch-like interface. Mega works well. You still need the Arduino IDE even if you use snap4arduino.

Pros
  • Single Board Computer
Cons
  • Some bugs
