Shred letters continuously for years.

I received the shredder but unfortunately it was badly damaged on delivery. It was still wrapped but broken. Contacted Amazon and got an email back within minutes. Returning it was easy, took 20 seconds at the UPS store. Scanned code and disconnected. The replacement came within two days of the return. This grinder is much quieter than my old grinder, the noise level in my basement with the washing machine running is 40db, when the mill fan is on the noise is 51db at 2ft, the same noise as in my office. When crushed, it is 67 dB. The performance is incredible. I used it to shred multi-year bills and junk mail. I filled 12 kitchen garbage bags, not once did the car stop. Worked 4 hours straight. My mail was folded into boxes, it really didn't rest, but it never overheated. There have been a few cases where I have loaded envelopes that are too thick. As soon as he felt the thickness, he automatically changed direction. I just opened these letters and fed half the papers and they were chewed without much effort. I shredded postcards, letters, letters with cards inside. No problem In short, the good: no stops. Enough. Good size trash can. Bad: Feels weak, but doesn't bother. The sensors are in odd places, if you put a regular envelope all the way to the left then it stops because the sensor isn't there, but if you put two letters next to each other there's no problem. There is one sensor in the middle and one to the right but not to the left of the feeding slot. Conclusion: I love this chopper. It's the best paper shredder I've seen so far. I highly recommend it. I will post an update in a few months.
