Review on 🎨 ACTIVA CelluClay Instant Papier Mache, 5 lb White by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

pleasantly surprised at how fun and easy it is to work with.

I took a chance and bought CelluClay for the first time after reading the reviews. This year I wanted to make a Pumpkin Rot stuffed animal for Halloween. I've attached photos of my first attempt at clay and am quite optimistic about future projects. Of course, I'm no pro, but this material was easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone trying paper mache clay for the first time! The first photo is right after my clay has dried. In the sunny desert, it took less than 24 hours to solidify. I was ready, to paint it the next day. I used flat black spray paint (photo #2), then applied a white dry brush (photo #3). I LOVE dry cleaning with Celluclay texture. It was easy and efficient. I thought about keeping it black and white. Photo #4 after dry cleaning with brown, green, yellow and orange. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the drybrush. The clay didn't suck water out of the brush, it was a great surface to paint on. The ingredients are simple, nothing toxic to worry about so might get your hands dirty. Even the small details are more difficult to make, but for the most part they were very easy to work with and held their shape. I followed the general advice and mixed it up on the outside! Things I learned for my next project: Make sure you cover the ENTIRE surface with the clay or you'll end up with jagged bumps along with the smooth bits of the newspaper machine.
