We've been drinking bottled spring water for as long as I can remember. We are afraid to go to the market because of the coronavirus and drink all the water in a few days. So we started looking for an alternative and after some research found that reverse osmosis was the gold standard. As mentioned, we let the machine prime the first two cycles and then drank the third cycle. Tastes even better than spring water! Given the amount of water, the filtration time is good. If you have a large family, you need to do 3-4 cycles every day. I would buy it again with great pleasure! IMPORTANT EDIT: After 8 months of use we started having some issues. The machine itself still works great and the water still tastes good. We got a TDSmeter and despite the wear and tear on the filter (the whole family has been home for 8 months now, that's a lot of water) the TDS reading is still very low. BUT we got health problems. Two family members had leg cramps, my skin and eyes became dry, and I developed eczema-like symptoms. I have muscle pain. For the first time in my life I wanted bottled water, although I've always hated the taste of bottled water. A family member started having a heart attack. We began to analyze what was happening and found that reverse osmosis water is harmful to health in the long run because it removes magnesium, calcium and other trace elements from the water. The person becomes very irritable. We found these were common side effects of drinking 0 TDS water. Our bodies are out of minerals. We ordered electrolyte drops to add to our water and see how it goes. Due to COVID and the large number of family members, we cannot afford to buy bottled water every few days. So, for now, we're going to look at electrolyte drops. I will update this comment accordingly.
