How to deform ventilation.
I installed this block over the vent and stretched the vent so much that it deformed. I removed the bracket, heated it with a heat gun and squeezed it to fit better. Fits perfectly. A few weeks 80-100°, and now everything is free. This is a really strong plastic that is expensive. Too tight, too loose. You'd think for half a count there was a kid's lanyard attached to it that could be used to hold it in place.
