Description of Lightspeed Zulu 3 Aviation Headset - Comfort and Clarity for General Aviation Pilots

New contoured ear seals are designed to hug the curve of the jaw, reducing side pressure to get a more natural fit for more comfort and stability. These ear seals create 30 to 50 percent more space for the ear than other ANR headsets, a key feature of long-term user comfort. Zulu 3 is outfitted with new cables built around a Kevlar core, which are stronger, lighter, and more flexible than standard cables. The more durable cables complement the other premium materials used in the rest of the headset construction, including the magnesium cups, sliders, and the stainless steel headband. Retains the same award winning Lightspeed ANR and all of the most popular features of Zulu.2, such as Bluetooth for phone and music, Auto Shutoff, and ComPriority. It also has an exclusive user adjustable mic gain adjustment to get the audio and side tone just right for all voices. A taller head pad option ensures maximum comfort and performance on smaller head shapes. Backed by an industry-best 7-year-warranty from Lightspeed.

Lightspeed Zulu 3 Headset GA Aviation

If you're looking for a premium general aviation headset, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 deserves your attention. The performance of this headset is excellent, and the company backs the product with warranty, customer support, repair, replacement of wearing parts (at cost) and more. The only other headset on the same level is the Bose and they are even more expensive. Features Bluetooth connectivity and an optional wired connection so you can use your phone or listen to music, with options to prioritize

Excellent specs and sound quality but falls apart after 14 months

I bought a Zulu 3 when I started work on my instrument and commercial reviews 14 months ago. My David Clark headphones were still in great shape after a few years, but I decided it was time to try the 'better' ANR headset. Initially I was happy with the Zulu 3. The sound quality is good, the build felt solid, they're comfortable, the battery life is good, and they have a good feature set. However, a few weeks ago I noticed that the earcups were beginning to unravel at the seams and the coating…

Nearly perfect! for automotive and automotive electronics

I really love this headset, I only have a few things I don't like so I can't give it 5 stars.1) The price is thousand dollars a lot of money and I it seems that the headset is not entirely justified. If I hadn't considered it a serious investment in my future as a pilot, I wouldn't have bought it. 2) The length of the microphone is NOT ENOUGH! When the headset is comfortably on my head, the mic rests on the CORNER of my mouth, NOT THE CENTER! Because of this, the mic does NOT ALWAYS pick up…
