Review on Lightspeed Zulu 3 Aviation Headset - Comfort and Clarity for General Aviation Pilots by Adam Nikolz

I really love this headset, I only have a few things I don't like so I can't give it 5 stars.1) The price is thousand dollars a lot of money and I it seems that the headset is not entirely justified. If I hadn't considered it a serious investment in my future as a pilot, I wouldn't have bought it. 2) The length of the microphone is NOT ENOUGH! When the headset is comfortably on my head, the mic rests on the CORNER of my mouth, NOT THE CENTER! Because of this, the mic does NOT ALWAYS pick up every word I say, it's almost like I have to half-scream to make sure the mic picks me up. 3) Cord Length - I love the cord, it's a great braided cord, doesn't look like it's going to break anytime soon, but it's NOT LONG ENOUGH! I fly a 172 and when I plug it in I press the panel against the side flap and it's barely long enough to reach my head. Bottom line - for a thousand bucks I really don't think these problems should exist. BUT, the headset is damn comfortable, damn quiet and the mic/sound quality is damn good, so I might return it, I love it too much! Maybe in ten years or when the next gen comes out they will fix those issues and lower the price because I love them the way they are and if those issues were fixed they would be just perfect!
