Great thread rack with multiple spools, accessories and instructions

This is a solid product that works exactly as described. Despite many previous reviews to the contrary, mine came with detailed instructions on how to assemble the product as well as a description of each part. The photos showing each part (with part numbers and part names) were small, black and white, and certainly not "high res", but they got the job done. I took my time and everything went perfectly. At the end of the guide were descriptions of the purpose and use of each accessory. Each piece and accessories were placed in plastic bags and although there was a small amount of free flowing sand in the bag in the base this wasn't essential. The base itself is sandproof (provides weight to prevent the stand from tipping over). The mast at the top allows the threads to fit into any notch and it would be better if the notches weren't as wide as the threads tend to fall out. Among the dozens and dozens of accessories included are six additional line guides (2 of one type; 4 of another) that provide better tension and threading than a mast. I just embroidered with 15 threads and was glad that this thread holder helps organize all the colors. I will say that the footprint of the stand is quite large (16" wide x 6" deep; overall height 19" and I couldn't place it directly behind my embroidery machine as my table was only 14" deep (embroider the machine is 12" wide. I was able to put the thread stand on the right side of the machine and it worked fine. If you have a deeper sewing table you have a much better position to put the stand behind the machine where it will be It will also fall apart if you want to put it away. It's only one part fastened with a screw (the mast retraction support screws into the lower threaded support. But the rest is easy to disassemble), and the one 14-inch rod can go on can be extended about 5". I plan to keep mine together and just put them on the top shelf when not in use. Overall this is a great multi spool thread holder. !
