I usually take awhile to drink my coffee or tea so having a mug warmer like this saves me from getting up and microwaving my drink. I've waited till my drinks gets colder to use this, but I think its better to use this before that happens since it can take 30+ minutes to heat your drink back up. So far it can heat my drinks to about 140F which is plenty hot to me. The manual says a flat bottom cup is best but my mug isn't flat yet it was able to warm it up hot enough for me thankfully. My mug is only 1cup and the liquid gets pretty hot when there's not much left. I do not have a stainless steel mug or a heat proof glass mug to use this on. This warmer is pretty lightweight! The bottom has slot openings probably for airflow, but you can see there isn't anything inside besides the heating plate. I don't dare try to touch the black heating plate when its on obviously, but the white plastic doesn't get hot so I don't need to worry its going to melts anything nearby it. This thing is 6"x6" which can take up a bit of space in my opinion. My desk isn't small but its full of stuff so I have to make room when I use this. The cord length is as listed but its too short to put it in the spot I wanted it to go on my desk. The button works but sometimes I have to it tap a few times. I don't notice it till its been on for like nearly 2 hours that there is a bit of a fume smell. While it doesn't stop me from using it I would hope it'll go away with time since it isn't pleasant.
