Review on 📺 Enhanced Home Entertainment: Samsung BD-J7500 Blu-ray Player Unveiled! by Jongil Baek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

Initially I was looking for a player with rca audio outputs to connect to a stereo amplifier. There are not so many models on the market, and as a result, the choice fell on the j7500. I immediately connected the output of the fronts to the amplifier and everything seemed to work, but . there was no voice in the films. That's right, the 5.1 track was not converted to stereo. The solution was not found right away - in the audio output settings you need to turn off everything except the fronts, it just doesn’t work in another way, despite the presence of the “downmix in stereo” item in the settings. By and large, this is the only drawback of the player. But I think that this model is intended for those who need to output sound to a stereo amplifier (those who have a regular receiver will use hdmi, and those who have a 7-channel amplifier will most likely choose a device of a higher class) and such a clumsy and unintuitive method of converting a droshky in stereo is amazing to say the least. In fairness - through the optics, the sound is output in 2.0 without problems and channel losses. With regards to Internet chips, in my opinion the only use is with some kind of plex, but for such use, again, you can find more interesting media players. In conclusion, I will say that the player as a whole met all expectations and the functionality that I need is fully achieved. : after a few months, some more shortcomings came to light: 1) when playing large mkv from a flash drive (15GB or more), the video almost always jumps 10-15 seconds forward, but this happens only once 2) not the most convenient navigation using the remote control (rewinding, selecting chapters / tracks, etc.). 3) as expected, the external hard drive does not pull. However, I would still recommend this player if the switching requirements are specific (see above). If there is a decent receiver or priority for viewing files from a flash drive, then there is no point.

Pros
  • price, fairly wide switching capabilities (analogue output 7.1, optics, two hdmi), stable and fast operation. 25-30gb mkv plays without problems.
Cons
  • probably not critical, some minor, see comment
