I was looking for a device that would allow me to add two separate monitors to my 2018 Mac Book Pro without mirroring. My old dock would mirror one of the displays. I tried another element reflected on the display. This one was recommended to me and it's the only one that works. It has two HDMI ports and each display is its own. It allows you to connect the device to power using a USB cable, and the device then powers the computer so that when you disconnect and plug in, only one cable is needed. It has a USB3 port and an Ethernet port. The initial setup was difficult. I had to call tech support, they were very helpful. Read the instructions before connecting. There is a sequence of events that must happen in order. The device itself gets very hot. I would recommend because it does exactly what it says on the tin and in a small class is that you can connect two additional separate displays. 9 months with it, here's my review: I've had this device for about 10 months. My Mac consistently had trouble waking from sleep when the screen was blank, requiring a hard reboot. Sometimes the computer would restart automatically, indicating that this was due to an error. Long story short, after several visits to Apple, they restored my computer to its original state. After installing the driver, the problem reappeared. I removed the driver, the computer is fine. When I use this with my PC it works perfectly.
