These stock flashing strobe brake lights are a definite upgrade from the stock tail light bulbs! You may need an aftermarket flasher or built in resistor to prevent an error message or "hyper flash" from your vehicle. I'm pretty sure this works as an added security feature. (I don't know because I'm in the car and can't see my taillights while I'm working) As for durability, since they were only recently installed, I can't say enough. I still gave 3 stars because they didn't burn out after installation. (I had a friend slam on the brakes while I was watching, so I know they work as advertised.) Yes, I would buy more if I ever had to. just not for this car because they are supposed to last 50,000 hours (5.7 years of continuous use)
