Review on πŸͺ’ BIC Hybrid 3 Comfort Men's Disposable Razor, 1 Handle with 6 Cartridges (2 Pack) by Barb Gordon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price.

To date I have written about 100 product reviews, but never about a personal product. I've been trying to find a permanent replacement for Personna Speed 3's triple blades, which seem to be phasing out. They used to be sold in abundance at Walmart in packs of 4 and 8. They are now only available online as 4-piece sets. I won't pay $5 to ship a razor home. The shipping cost is higher than the blades! Tried the Equate brand from Walmart. It failed the test. It was too protective at the expense of a shave that wasn't close enough for me. After looking at the options at Walmart, I settled on these BIC Comfort 3 Blades. The Personna's only advantage over the BIC is the razor handle. Personna has a slightly better buy than BIC, which is a bit too slick in my opinion. (I'll get used to the BIC handle over time, but I'll always miss the Personna handle.) At around $6 for a pack of 6 blades plus handle, that's $1 per blade if you count the handle as a freebie. That's not bad considering most subscription blades I've tried are $2 per blade - $8.00 to $8.95 - for 4 packs. The best I found was the Defender. I still love their design, but I should have paid $8.95 for a 4 blade set with them instead of a $6 BIC 6 blade set. Want BIC Blades? May be. Want to make sure? Buy a set and try it. You can always return them for a refund (if you keep the receipt) and try a different brand. You'll probably like them, so be prepared to keep them. That's an idea, isn't it?
