I bought these chains in bulk because they were a good price and listed as 925 sterling silver. I've used a few on customer purchases and set them aside for later use. Upon further examination of my second package, I noticed that 50% of this batch had the plating receded to the base metal. They appear to be almost copper in color with a very slight overlay of "silver" in the spots. I figured it might just be a need for cleaning. When cleaned in a Sterling exclusive liquid, the plate is completely exposed at the base. These chains are not properly plated and said 925 sterling silver is questionable. It saddens me that some of my customers are now wearing these necklaces. It's been 10 days since my return date and now I have no choice but to throw it away. I wouldn't recommend unless you expect a return or 0 repeat customers. $36 down the drain for 2 orders.
