I probably wouldn’t have written a review at all, because everything has already been described by others, if I hadn’t flooded it. Before it, there was the SVEN Standard 301 keyboard, which is also claimed to be water resistant, but in fact it just has buttons raised, while there are several slots through which liquid is poured directly inside, an extremely stupid design. As a result, after the third filling and cleaning, some of the keys did not return to service, after which this one was purchased. The bay and it, out of habit, disassembled for cleaning and found a number of interesting features. Firstly, the buttons have a small backlash with the body, due to which individual drops simply do not leak inside, unless, of course, you continue to press them immediately after pouring, and the body itself has a pair of drainage holes for draining liquid through the body of the keyboard onto the table, bypassing the insides. Secondly, if anyone has dismantled an ordinary office keyboard, they know that there are rubber hemispheres inside behind the plastic - the same membranes, because of which this type of keyboard is called membrane, and they, in turn, bend and come into contact with the buttons when the buttons are pressed. contacts printed on the film, each of which is responsible for the operation of a specific button. When liquid gets inside the keyboard, it usually gets on the film with contacts and under its action they are destroyed. But in this keyboard, the membranes are not represented by separate hemispheres, but by a solid rubber layer that completely covers the film, so even if liquid gets inside, it will simply remain on it and only partially fall on the contact film along the edges, which makes them extremely unlikely to be damaged. However, in case of flooding, it is still better to disassemble the keyboard and get rid of moisture, since it is very simple in it. But this applies to any keyboard, even the most secure, otherwise even the buttons will stick. I hope my review will be useful to the same poor fellows who always flood their keyboard with various drinks.
