They're perfect – we've chosen one to cook meat and savory dishes, one to steam vegetables and one for bread and desserts – but so far they've done it when they're on the top rack of our dishwasher have been washed are odorless and therefore do not seem to absorb odors - we will continue to use the one suitable for the food being cooked so as not to carry over other odors but it seems unnecessary to sanitize on the top rack of your dishwasher.
