These replaced two 5W incandescents, each within two crystal lamps on my parents fireplace mantle. The "10W equivalent” seems about right. Not too bright, but lights up the room subtly enough, even with the added lighting compared to the original 5W incandescents. They do appear a little brighter than what my photo shows, although the warmth also lends to their subtlety. Not ‘jarring’, as a cooler light can be. These were perfect for their needs, when they want a softer, warmer light while watching TV. These are used all night long when I stay over, perfect as glorified and more powerful night lights as I make my way to the kitchen late at night. Couldn’t be more pleased. They also have a quality feel to them.
