Came from an 8 year old Samsung plasma that was still working fine. But the picture quality on this OLED TV is amazing. I've been watching 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range) video non-stop for days now - incredible contrast, detail, color and clarity. The black is really deep black. More subtle color casts were also observed with normal upscaling of HD content. The panel is so thin it's even scary - thinner than my phone. Tons of image quality settings. Be prepared to spend some time tweaking things to your liking. This LG TV supports 4K HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG-HDR, but does not support HDR10+. A small window briefly displays if this format is recognized. Also has a built-in web browser, Google Assistant and Alexa. Most popular apps (Tablo, YouTube, Sling, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, Apple TV, etc.) can be downloaded from LG's built-in content store. Not much is needed for my Roku box at the moment. The remote has an on-screen mouse pointer mode that's somewhat useful, but takes a while to get used to. (You don't have to use it if you prefer 4-button navigation.) Many buttons on the remote have a second function when long-pressed. Voice input is also done via the remote control. Haven't tried it yet but it seems very well prepared for my upcoming PS5 purchase this winter. to an older Yamaha receiver and 5.1 surround sound). The infamous OLED burn-in problem doesn't really bother me - this suite has automatic tools to prevent it. Just take out the Vivid mode and lower the OLED light setting to a reasonable level (around 30 to 40) in non-HDR picture modes. The screen saver is triggered after 30 seconds of still image. The screen is bright enough as long as the sun doesn't fall on it. Bottom line - once you've watched a few 4K HDR demo videos on this screen, you'll be so amazed. PS After mounting on a stand/table, remove the protective film from the back (and of course the front!) of the panel. It's easy to miss. Should help avoid heat problems, although this TV is icy compared to a plasma. PPS At the bottom of the panel, below the red standby indicator, there is a hidden power button. Useful for resetting your TV if it gets stuck when changing HDMI settings or cables, or if you lose your remote control. PPPS Watch the video on Youtube to assemble the stand. The directions suck and it's not obvious how the front and back fit together. Simple, but not obvious at first. PPPS Watch the video on Youtube to assemble the stand.
