the plastic is strong enough but it won't stick to the door

I knew the husky would need more than just hanging it by the handle, so I taped it in place as well. It lasted a day. Then I nailed it to the door. It took days. Now I have 5 double braces. maybe I'll get out for a few days. the plastic itself conforms to the description, durable, with different scratching noise on each side. The "annoying/exercising" sound doesn't bother this husky at all. Overall I like the product. I only have one difficult dog and anyone who knows they have a difficult dog is likely to run into similar issues.
