I got these to mark the edge of a couple different driveways where it's hard to see the edge. I was a little bit disappointed with the brightness of the reflection at night, but you can't expect much from reflective tape. So it really is about as good as it could be in that regard. The fiberglass pole is flexible and seems to be very strong. If a car bumps into it, it will definitely survive and not even hurt the car. If it gets run over completely, maybe it would break, or maybe it would pull out of the ground. I used a drillbit that was made for these, to drill into the ground. It would be difficult to just shove it into the ground unless the soil is super soft.
