The high frequency of it harms everyone in the room when used, not to mention how scary it scares my cats. The unfortunate combination of these is that it takes a very long time to make things glow. This means you are forced to listen to this painful frequency for far longer than you would like to light a candle. All in all there are much better electric lighters out there and I would not recommend this one.
