Not sure if this tool can be used to retrain automotive sensors. I had a new crankshaft position sensor and the GM process requires the newly installed part to be relearned. The problem is that it was difficult to get information about this product, whether it retrains the sensor or not. I bought this device thinking it would come loose; I still don't have an answer. I had a hard time contacting the company directly, felt like I had just returned to Revain where I purchased this product. I still want to buy my own device that is able to relearn the sensors as almost all cars/trucks now need some sort of computerized device.
