Review on 🔴 Inateck KT5001 PCI-E to USB 3.0 Card: 5 Ports with Power Connector - Red by Brandon Mcvey

There were problems with the installation. I plugged in the card and attached a separate two-port USB backplate to the card, then turned on the power. Drivers were installed from Win 10, but the device does not recognize the connected devices. I double checked the power supply (Corsair rm750i supplied), seats etc. The controllers are recognized in the device manager of the control panel. Devices didn't disappear from Device Manager, so power went to the card. The motherboard was an Asus X299 (there was a slot conflict in PCI slot #4 because an M.2 SSD was added to the motherboard - not an Inteck issue). ----- Update ----- After receiving an email contacting Inateck Technical Support, I uninstalled all drivers, disconnected most USB devices from the computer, removed the KT5001 and the optional USB backplane that was connected to the KT5001 and turned the power on again (to make sure nothing is installed), then turn off the power and reinstall the KT5001. The secondary 2-port backplane was not connected to the KT5001 at this point. I activated the backup, let Win 10 install the drivers and the KT5001 worked! After turning off the power, I reconnected to the 2-port backplate and that worked. So everything is fine. The problem may have been with the optional 2-port USB backplane that I originally connected. I had to boot up the system, test it, and then plug in an extra USB card. Moral: Do not connect any devices and external ports to the KT5001 during the initial installation. Just let Win 10 do it. Updated rating from 1 star to 4 stars due to installation issues (5 stars if no issues). Note: I also suggest downloading USB Device Viewer SDK from Microsoft to fix USB issues (You only need to save 2 USB related files). It lists all controllers and shows what is plugged into each USB port (by vendor and product) and is extremely useful for other USB performance and issues. This is a very good tool.
