I will admit that what I find comfortable can differ from others. I've been using the Kanewell - $300 Twin Tiltable Saddle Stool for a few months now and have been relatively happy with it and have been wanting to buy another split saddle stool to use at work. I found the Master Massage Berkeley Ergonomic Split Saddle Chair at half price from Kanewell and decided to give it a try. What follows is my comparison: The Berkeley has more seat padding, which I find much more comfortable than the Kanewell. When I first assembled the Berkeley, I noticed that the seat was much less contoured than the Kanewell. I assumed this would be a minus as Canewell's deep contours appear more saddle-like. However, Berkeley seems much more convenient! I'm not sure if the added Berkeley cushioning is the main comfort factor or if the reduced contour is a factor. The only benefit I see with Kanewell is if you want a split saddle chair to be used up close. up to table height. Because the Kanewell seat is more contoured, your legs go forward more than forward, allowing you to sit much higher than on the Berkeley. I am planning to sell my Kanewell and buy another Berkeley.
