Review on πŸš— AMTIFO A1 Backup Camera with 4.3'' Mirror Monitor - Easy Install High-Definition Rear View Hitch Camera for Cars, Trucks, SUVs by Edgar Rowe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would suggest this to my friends.

My husband ordered this product and that's what he wrote about it. I have a boat trailer that always gives me problems when I connect it. It's hard to see exactly where it is once it's secured so I have to go out and check it 5 or 10 times if I can't just manually put the pendant back in place. I'm tired of living this kind of life, so I decided to look for a backup camera system that wouldn't break the bank. After purchasing this product, I was a bit concerned about the quality given the price. folks, don't worry. The picture quality is pretty good. It even has an infrared light that works well in the dark. If you need to see behind your car because your bumper is in your blind spot, this camera can do it for you. Now I can put my clutch right on the ball every time. I'm not an installer, so don't judge my installation work by photos. There was a lot of wires to hide everything properly, but I was on a schedule and didn't have the time. I could have hardwired everything as instructed, but opted for a detachable mount instead. I connected the monitor/rearview mirror to the cigarette lighter socket and the camera to the 7-pin trailer socket. I chose the 7 pin trailer connector because the standard 4 pin connector does not have a reverse light power wire like the 7 pin. When the vehicle is turned on in reverse, this taillight signals the monitor to turn on the display with the camera. If you're in a long car, like me in a double cab pickup, an AV cable extender is a must. A 6 foot extension will probably do the trick. This only applies if you are in a long vehicle, the car will likely fit the length of cable provided. I assumed the design of the camera was to screw it directly to the mark using the same hardware. I had to mount it with metal just above the tag to create a sort of homemade mount. This is because the camera blocks your registration stickers and status when you attach the same screws that hold the label to the label. I assume that the authorities will have problems with this, so I decided to postpone it. Even from a higher vantage point, I can still see my ball grip if I set the camera at a fairly aggressive angle. It has excellent freedom of movement in turns. All in all, I am VERY happy with this product. It does exactly what I need and I would recommend it to my friends if they need it.
