They attract all kinds of dirt

I've been remodeling all my kitchen drawers and was in desperate need of a new cutlery holder. I searched for a long time until I came across this. As I've said in other OXO reviews, I have a love-hate relationship with the company. What I love, I really love, and what I hate, I really hate. This will fall into the real hate category. I really liked the spaciousness and expandability. My drawer is a bit custom sized due to some weird limitations we had when ordering the cabinets. It's perfect for a weird room. But the holder's latches are a bit oddly sized and it's hard to figure out how to use them effectively. They don't seem to work to do much. But the worst part of the whole experience is that every time I open the drawer, lint, dirt, or debris is left on it. I think plastic just attracts dirt. I've never had this before, and I've had cutlery organizers for a long time. I'm very neat and clean, and constantly opening the drawer and finding something to clean - something that has TOOLS in my family's mouth - is awful. I have no idea why that is, but it is. It's not very pleasant to eat what's kept in a desk drawer with a neon sign: COME IN! It's worrying. Write it in the hate column. Not for me anymore Switch to a different brand and/or material.
