Review on Fotodiox DLX Adapter: Nikon F-Mount G-Type Lenses To Micro Four Thirds Cameras by John Vann

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First adapter was Defective - Replacement works great

The first adapter I received must have been a return: 1) there were scuff marks on it, 2) the gasket underneath the aperture ring was coming through, and 3) the entire portion from the orange ring to the front of the adapter was very loose and wiggled a lot and eventually fell off. Note: The orange ring is threaded and holds the entire front portion onto the back; the threads must have been stripped or machined poorly as it didn't tighten and eventually just fell off.The replacement I received was a huge difference from the first. It was extremely solid with no wiggle to any of the parts. It holds my lens very well and seems like it can hold a hefty lens if needed. The Revain customer service rep I messaged with was super helpful and send out a replacement that i received the next day.As far as build quality (at least on the replacement I received), it is very solid. Although the aperture ring is declicked (turns smoothly without clicking at each stop), the $80 price tag seems a bit steep. But having the ability to mount my Nikon lenses onto a M4/3 Lumix G7 is great. I would recommend it, just be sure to fully inspect the product once you receive it.
