This is the perfect little shredder when you want to protect your information but don't want to work with a large motorized shredder that takes up a lot of floor space and is noisy. I keep this little paper shredder on my bookshelf and it's almost invisible when not in use. Only one sheet is shredded at a time, but I just separate my mail and only shred pages that contain confidential information. It grinds into small pieces that are even smaller than my old electric shredder. The hand crank works well if you don't mind applying a little force rather than dealing with the loud noise of a power chopper. credit cards and CDs. I haven't used them because I don't have any CDs to get rid of. Credit card slots look like they'll leave quite a bit of information on the cards visible after shredding, so I'll probably just use regular credit card scissors. This allowed me to get rid of my large shredder, which took up floor space and required an electrical outlet. There are many similar manual paper shredders on the market, but I've only found one cross sander. Others have simply made simple strips of paper that seem too easy to put back together. If you are looking for a compact yet quiet paper shredder, this is the one you should buy. It only shreds one sheet at a time so isn't great for shredding hundreds of historical documents, but if you only need to shred a few things a day like junk mail, bank statements, etc. then this is the perfect solution!
