Easy to set up but multicolored flickering halfway down the screen renders it unusable

You'd think a big brand like Razer could make something as simple as this without too much fuss, but unfortunately it has a bad reputation for quality seems still apply. Setup is very easy, all you have to do is plug everything in, let your operating system install all drivers automatically, and you can use any recording/streaming software (OBS in my case). The 4k pass works without lag and the video and audio quality on the OBS side is really good too. The problem is that at some point the video in OBS starts to flicker. At first it was the bottom third of the screen just flicking on and off quickly, and eventually it turned into a multicolored flickering across the entire half of the screen. 1080p but that didn't work for me. I also tried different USB ports (all 3.0 or higher) and a different USB cable but still couldn't fix it. I was sure it would be a USB issue related to the power output of the device or something, but I didn't fix anything. It sucks because of the many capture card options, it's one of the few where all the cables go. inside and outside the device, which is much more aesthetically pleasing. I sent the unit back and am currently testing a 3rd party 4k capture card which costs about 2.5x less and surprisingly works very well. The lower price may mean it fails sooner than it should, but we'll see - so far it's better than the Ripsaw, which doesn't perform well out of the box anyway. For anyone who is curious, the audio sample rate is 16 bit 48000 Hz. I know that for streaming it is important that the sample rates of all audio devices match as well as the sample rate of the stream itself, so I hope this information helps !
