Review on Moonrays 91754 Richmond Solar Metal Path, 360-Degree Display And 120-Degree Beam Angle Of Warm LED, 30 Lumens, Automatic Lighting, Rubbed Bronze Finish, 2 Pack, 2-Pack, 2 by Richard Mangum

Short life fixture.

First of all let me say that these lights, out of the box and working, are about the best you can get. They are bright and attractive just as advertised. My experience however is not that positive given the fact that these lights do not seem to last very long before they begin to fail. Likely before two years are out. The most common flaw seems to be the automatic on/off feature. After a while they don't don't go off and the rechargeable batteries (which are not cheap to replace) simply drain out. The light still works fine, but the auto off in the daytime does not work so they are on until the batteries are dead. Not so bad if that happens to a fixture or two but I have a fairly long drive way/path to deal with so I have purchased roughly 18 ( about $350) of these lights over theist three or so years. 10 of them no longer function. Oddly, lights that cost less money which I use these on the road into my house, are still working after many years of service requiring only a battery(1) change from time to time and they cost about $5.00 each. Also what you read about the spikes to put these light into the ground is true. Cheap plastic that just barely holds the weight of the glass/metal fixture. The break easily but with so many dead lights I had spare parts!I did contact Moonrays once about my concerns, but they more or less dismissed my complaint with a long and convoluted process that seemed worse than a tax audit. So in the end, as much as I really like these lights, I'm afraid I can't afford to continuously invest in replacing them any longer. A 50/50 longevity rate isn't that good. Hopefully you will have a better experience if you choose to buy them.
