I decided to invest in a coconut opener because I was spending too much time opening them with my chef's knife. So I took a chance with this product and it failed. The non-stick handle is so slippery I couldn't even get a hold of it when using the hammer. Not to mention the non-stick stick isn't even glued to the metal rod so it slides off too! I tried this on two coconuts and both coconuts cracked completely and lost the water inside. I think the product is not sharp enough (yes I used the product at the right angle). Looks like I'll have to buy a good quality coconut knife or invest in a cleaver.
