This is a sturdy little raincoat. With this jacket and rubber pawz my dog will actually walk in the rain and even walk through shallow puddles. His reaction to the bad weather in front of that raincoat and ankle boots was to run and hide under the sofa. For me, the best feature of this jacket would be the sturdy buttons so I don't have to rely on my dog closing up and accidentally catching their hair in the zipper's teeth. Thanks to the lining, this coat can also be worn in early autumn. It's awfully cute. I would like the manufacturer to expand the range of sizes as my dog has always been an in-between size (between XS and S). The size XS coat fits his torso perfectly but doesn't fully cover his length, leaving his bottom and tail exposed to the rain. I've read other reviews to give credit for this, but the amount of loose material in a larger version would have resulted in an even more incorrect fit. This would require a significant adjustment. I chose the XS for my dog and there is still room in the chest to put on a light shirt or overalls. For us, this is the best solution because my dog can move around with this amount of fabric and doesn't seem to mind the protruding buttocks. He is really petite and I think given the stiffness of the fabric and lining the size S would be too big for his small frame to be pushed around.
