Not so great. Not scary. Depends on the user.
If someone wants to steal your $500 Yeti, they can yank it off anything you attach a cable to. The thief doesn't care if he damages your boat, he gets the cool box anyway. Lock to be close when camping makes sense. I'd rather steal my fridge than damage my boat. It's ok, but not for me. I returned it.
