Review on Mapnik by Steve Brethorst

I like how easy it is to use! It's very simple to get up and running quickly without having to learn too much about GIS or programming. The documentation could be more comprehensive for beginners who are just getting started with python scripting. Also, there isn't an option for a custom style layer (like using your own shapefiles). If you have basic knowledge of SQL queries and spatial database management this tool will work well for you. We were able to create our own maps that we used throughout our organization by creating layers from different data sources such as Google Maps API, OSM, etc.
