Very comfortable for a small woman
I don't know how this backpack does it, but the weight is distributed so I don't have as much weight on my shoulders. I'm a fairly short woman, 5ft 2in tall. There are plenty of pockets and space for snacks. I took this twice on a hike and there was plenty of water. The two reasons this was a win are 1) I'm a dropsy and 2) I live in desert Arizona where you can easily need more water than you think.
