Review on 🌿 Hemp Bedding for RentACoop by William Runninger

Revainrating 2 out of 5

NOT recommended for chicks

I bought this hemp litter because I heard it was good at absorbing moisture and less smelly (which it is). The problem is that it doesn't do well with young chickens. The hemp is ground too finely and the chickens eat it. The fibers help with absorbency, but they also wrap and tangle around the legs. I had to take it off my feet several times a day. This is very expensive as bed linen has to be changed frequently. I plan to use the rest of the bag once the chickens in the coop are much older. It also bothered me that there were no labels on the bag of hemp bedding. You won't get provenance information if it was actually made without pesticides, or contact information. I will not buy again.
