I purchased this item in September and paid a plumber several hundred dollars to install it. It was immediately apparent that the UV was defective. The manufacturer sent me a new one and I installed it. However, the water never stopped having a "weird" taste and smell -- like a combination of plastic and bleach. After several calls to the manufacturer, forcing me to buy test equipment, remove filters, etc., I asked for my money back. They gave me shipping instructions and instructed me to return the item at my own expense ($75). And now they haven't returned the money. I've since spent several hundred dollars more on a new system. I have owned reverse osmosis systems for almost 30 years. This was the worst experience I have had with a water filtration system.
