My wife first discovered the electric nail trimmer tool from a top 10 must-have list for newborns from a YouTube channel. We definitely needed this after hearing traumatic stories of cutting delicate newborn fingernails. This is the only grooming/first-aid kit that we found on Best Buy that includes the electric nail filer AND at a great price. We got the 24 piece set in green, which looks like a few more items and a more organized bag for just a dollar more than the 18 piece set.We tested the trimmer on ourselves since it also works on adults. The adult settings on adult nails do a great job. Also tried the 0-3 month setting and it doesn't hurt when it comes in contact with the skin on our fingers. It's a bit loud, so definitely not silent, and it sounds like it's going really fast but it's really fine so it grinds away only a bit at a time so you can't go too deep accidentally. All the other items look well made too and are pretty essential for first time parents. Don't know what the tiny scissors are for though lol. And wife will probably use the regular emery boards for herself (not the baby).
