First of all, the lid did not match this article. If you try to put the lid on it, it will become smaller than the item and fall into the item. We've used it 6 to 10 times and it's done a pretty good job. Only about 2/3 of the cannonballs popped out the first time, and when we tried to detonate the remaining ones, they started smelling burned. The more times we used the item, the more cores came out. As we continued to use it started burning the popcorn in little wads and when you touched it to throw it away they were very hot! We are returning this item because the last time we used it the popcorn lumps actually smoldered and there were a couple of small burns. It's a shame because the idea of the article is good because you don't have to use oil, but we're not comfortable with the experience of using it.
