I have a record of killing my BBQ thermometers. I have no idea what's going on but after 6 or a year they all stop working. It's always the temperature unit, not just the sensor. I only bought it because of the cheap price and the mostly positive reviews. I used this tonight to make a pork tenderloin roast on my Traeger smoker and it worked great. The design definitely suits me. I don't use any programs, presets or alarms. Just a screen telling me what the temperature of the meat is. At this price, if the thing works reliably for 6 months, I will definitely buy another one.
