Save Money: Cookie Presses

Bought about a year ago and broke because I didn't screw the lid on properly. If the cookie dough gets caught in the string, you will have a very hard time opening it to refill. Very disappointed, especially with the Cuisinart name.

Pros
  • Endurance Test Results
Cons
  • Clarity

Disappointment for Cuisinart

When I was little, I loved baking cookies with my mom. I had hoped to do it again with my children. I was very disappointed with the cuisinat cookie press. The press is completely made of plastic and does not appear to be very durable. The dough would not come out of the press and the cookies would not rise. Then the press itself stopped working and jammed. I used the provided recipes and different tempi for the test, it just doesn't work. I am really disappointed with the brand and this poor…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Vulgarity

EPIC MISTAKE! Best in Bakeware

I would not recommend this product to anyone. The dough from the included recipe was difficult to remove from the tube, the instructions for setting the cookie template were unclear and required special placement to work with. We will only be able to use this once as we cannot remove the tube from the cleaning pen as instructed. Three of us have tried and the hose is so tight we can't remove the hose. I am so disappointed this is one of the worst products I have ever bought.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Damaged

Great product FYI

This is a replacement for the first one I had. This product works really great. One thing the instructions don't tell you is not to refrigerate the cookie dough. I bought the Wilton Spritz cookie book at the same time as my first cookie press, which had a recipe that said the dough was refrigerated. The dough was putting too much pressure on the product and loud popping noises were heard. I was able to finish a batch of cookies, but I couldn't remove the cylinder to clean it. I called Cuisinart

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Makes me angry

It's cheap junk

I am totally disappointed in this cookie press. Connecting the top and bottom is very difficult as the thread is made entirely of plastic. If even the smallest piece of dough gets caught in the strings, you end up mixing them up. It takes me as long to open, fill and close as it does to knead the dough. It's also not that difficult to clean. The dough doesn't rise well either, whether I put it on an ungreased butter cookie sheet or on a silicone mold. I wish I knew where my mom's old Wilton…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

I baked a lot of Christmas cookies this year - I chose this model because of the number of slices. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that 10 discs are just numbers from 1 to 10 (for cake decorating I think). Anyway, I was making my 5th or 7th batch of Christmas cookies (3rd use of the device) and the keg cracked! Here's what I think happened: maybe I overloaded the keg and the batter stretched. I've refrigerated the loaded press between batches while each batch was baking and it's possible…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear
