First of all, this doesn't look like a $700 fan. It's badly designed. The parts are misaligned leaving gaps between the fan blades (2 of 3) and the cases and skins are also misaligned. Looks like a very cheap fan. Not the finish I expected. Second, I bought this fan for smart home reasons. To connect to Nest or Alexa, you must first register them with the Modern Forms app. I downloaded the app and connected to the wifi fan. Upon plugging it in, it said the fan needed a firmware update to continue working. Writes that he successfully downloaded the firmware and reconnect. Each time you do this it will say another firmware update is required. I've tried going through this process at least 30 times using 3 different devices (2 iPhones, iPad). Nothing but a message about the need to update the firmware. No phone support that I can find. Thirdly, a small "squeak" from the fan when operating at maximum speed. If I hadn't shipped this fan to the Caribbean I would have sent it back. Looks very (very) cheap for the price. I've bought $200 Hunter fans that are better built than this one.
