I've used 2 other mounting options, both suction cups and this one is way better than both. I had to modify the mount a bit, the part that attaches to the camera itself just covers the USB power input to the camera so the connector doesn't quite fit the camera as it was originally. . However, a quick flex of that tab or file would also do the job, once that tab is gone everything else is in place. And the strip I made didn't affect the durability and it took me about 2 minutes to find and fix the problem. Both installation and durability are worth the effort to fix this simple problem. And it's worth noting that not everyone will experience the same problem if you use a different camera. Above, if you have a camera that has the power supply on the side, I suspect you won't have any issues or need modifications. I have only good things to say about this product.
