Best fast scanning among scanners and accessories

This document scanner served two purposes, although I already had an Epson multifunction printer with a document feeder that could scan. I'm trying to clean up my home office and get rid of a bunch of old documents that don't really need to be printed (a PDF file will do). And I have some old photos that I want to scan for better preservation and in some cases restoration. items such as printers). The process involved downloading and installing a bunch of drivers (a CD is included, but it's probably better and easier to get them from a website if possible). Register your device and download the software of your choice - one for quick and easy scanning and the other for batch software (I chose the latter as I thought it would be more complete and allow for better settings). (Note that although running the batch job works fine and gives a scanned image, I've never been able to get the software to successfully run the test image.) The batch software is a bit cumbersome as each scan job (regardless of the number of images) must be configured as a job. Scanning a series of photos or documents of the same size is very fast once the job is set up (I scanned photos at 600dpi so it will be a bit slower, but it's much faster than the printer's scan speed). Scanning many old photos of different sizes is still troublesome because I need to adjust the width of the input tray for direct feeding. Overall, I'm still halfway through the task, but the scanner made it easier and faster. than it would be otherwise. The price is a bit high but in the end you have to weigh it against the value of your time. P-)
