Bathtub drain clogged so got this to try and see what happened. To be fair, I've never used anything like this and didn't like the lackluster instructions, so I first watched a few videos online on how to use a manual serpentine drill bit. I'm pretty quick, so I wasn't worried after seeing them. I had to use a bathtub overflow to feed it. I was very careful to only stretch the line 4-5 inches, but it still kinked a few times. hard turn. I only had to pull the line 1-2 inches at a time, which was extremely labor intensive, but I seemed to pull it through about an additional foot. Turns out it actually went nowhere, it just rolled down the sewer and created tension on the line. Then suddenly it popped up about a foot in an up and down curve. I tried pulling it through about half a dozen more times, but the process was complicated by the fact that the cord was twisted. I think it was blocked by some kind of clog, I don't think it was routed through the pipes properly. I say this because a) based on how long the tub takes to rise I think the blockage is deeper than 4ft and b) I turned it a lot against what was blocking it and when it came out , there was not a scrap of anything on it. no hair, no drops of fat, nothing. I ordered an auto feed drill from another company. If that doesn't help I'll have to hire a plumber and if it turns out to be something I could never handle I'll come back and change the rating. In this form, however, this thing was useless.
