This is the best purchase I have ever made to improve my CD quality and music streaming. There is a lot of debate on the internet about what frequencies the human ear can pick up to determine if you really get a noticeable benefit from a budget external DAC. My only contribution to this every once in a while will be: the bottom line is that the Lavaudio DS600 truly does phenomenal magic with the music you stream through it. On some recordings you hear things you've never heard before. For example, I heard Fleetwood Mac live and could hear WHO singing which part. The DS600 features an ability to separate individual voices and instruments, giving the overall sound a clarity that has to be heard to be believed. There were some comments criticizing the headphones. I agree there is some hiss and the unit can't handle high-end headphones, but my Audiotechnica M50x is great for casual listening. If you have any doubts about choosing this device, I can confidently tell you that it is worth the investment.
