This was a great purchase idea for me! I have two golden Retrievers who shed like crazy. One is TERRIFIED of blow dryers. She runs when I open my bathroom cabinet after a shower. But once i start using this on her, she relaxes a bit. We use it before baths (to blow out the loose hair) and after to dry them. Works well for both.But after about three months of use ( about once every two weeks), the top part of the hose unhooked, and now it will not stop whistling. It’s so high pitched that I feel bad for my neighbors whenever I use it, and usually can’t handle it if I can’t pull it exactly right to make it stop (which is hard, especially with two dogs who want to run away from the noise and using it on the porch to begin with). I tried to super glue the piece back on, since I’m past the return/exchange window, but that was not an adequate solution. The air still gets out of the bottom of the connector. And the high pitched whistle won’t stop.I’m totally bummed. It works well for my needs (and even helps me dry my carpets when I shampoo them. lol!) but the noise and broken piece after half a dozen uses really leaves me bummed. $80 later and it only functions at half capacity. Ugh. Would be 4-5 stars if that weren’t the case!
