I don't know what kind of pencil people use who complain that the holes are too small to fit the lead. If you're marking to within 1/32nd, you probably aren't trying a carpenter's pencil meant for framing. Every reworking carpenter knows: The sharper the line, the more precise the cut can be. My square came out square every square I tested it against. My only complaint is that the holes could have been marked a lot more clearly. It took me a minute to figure out what the turn was. In my opinion, I would like the barrel to tilt in the opposite direction. I feel like I'm working backwards. Also, I'm happy and would recommend it to anyone who can't afford other red tools I can only dream of.
