Review on Thea Gouverneur Counted Stitch Pantokrator by Kelsey Brown

I would like to give five stars because I love the design. Well packaged, the threads are sorted neatly, the fabric is of good quality etc., the pattern is quite legible, although some symbols look confusingly similar. The finished product is absolutely beautiful. My problem is that most of the design (about half of the background and the book that Jesus is holding) is made of metal threads of different shades of color and that is terrible quality. Mine frays a few inches up the skein, falls apart where it's on the needle and I have to pinch it around the needle or it will fall apart and tangle the whole skein. It's incredibly difficult to sew with and it makes my experience with this pattern a lot harder than it needs to be. I'm very disappointed as I really like the design, otherwise overall I'm very happy with the set.
